Makeup Revolution Brow Tint Review

Makeup Revolution are always hitting the beauty community with affordable and cutting edge makeup, This time they released a Brow Tint that can be done in 20 minutes and they claim it can last for as long as 3 days!

Of course when I saw this I immediately knew I had to put it to the test, I love a good brow they frame the face with or without makeup.

So did it live up to the hype?

So What is the Makeup Revolution Brow Tint?

A eyebrow tint is essentially a temporary tint designed to give you that structured full brow look. It fills in the sparse areas of the brow for a few days so you don't have to slave over the mirror each morning with a brow pencil praying that they both match.

Makeup Revolutions Brow tint is a Paint on, Peel off Formula that is designed to develop in 20 minutes however you can leave it on for up to 2 hours.

It costs £5 and comes in 3 shades. Taupe, Medium Brown & Dark Brown. I was initially disappointed in the limited shading range however I am sure that there is room for expansion within the line.

The Application

I am normally an Ash Brown shade in my brow products so when I saw the promo video for this launch I knew that the Medium Brown shade would be way too dark for me. I ordered the shade taupe as its safer to be too light than look like I've hit myself in the face with two slugs.

The application process was pretty easy, I did record a video with my iPhone and upload it to Instagram which you can watch here .

I was so worried to use this product as whenever I do my brows I am not precise at all however if you use a liner brush to apply the shape of your brows then its so much easier and less nerve racking!

After applying with a liner brush I re-applied a big thick layer over top to ensure that I coated my brows in the product I cleaned up with a q-tip and made myself a cuppa.

After 30 mins I took it off and I have got to say peeling it off is oddly satisfying, its gives you the nostalgia of peeling dried glue off your hands as a child ( please tell me I wasn't the only weird child )

Once I peeled them off I gave myself a mini bathroom photo shoot I was so shook by my own face, these juicy little brows had popped up and they looked like Jesus had carved them himself.

My only downfall was that there is a red undertone to the colour and that's not my personal preference for brows but I will pray for the shade range extension.

So how long did it last?

So this product promises up to 3 days wear, so my expectations were 2 days tops. I have dry skin so have a heavy 8 step night time skincare routine and my morning routine isn't that different so I had a feeling it wouldn't survive my high maintenance skincare system.

The first morning I forgot that I had the tint on so spent a few minutes scrubbing them with my Clinique Take The Day Off Balm before I actually realised what I was doing, my expectations for longevity from it were shot down then I had assumed I had scrubbed them off.

Boy was I wrong.

I am on Day 4 and they are only just starting to fade, I just need a little brow mascara in the morning and I am good to go. My mornings have become so much easier.

The Verdict?

Gone are the days of spending 20 minutes each morning slaving over fake brow strokes. This is now a staple in my handbag, twice a week take 20 mins to paint on some brows? Yes please.

I am going to re-apply this tomorrow and then order 50 more to ensure I never ever ever run out.

I love this after 1 use but honestly I have never tried anything from Makeup Revolution that I haven't loved. I love what the brand stand for and I love the products that they keep hitting us up with every week.

My only side note would be the lack of shades as I have brown hair and I brought the lightest shade and it was slightly too red for me however I will still be using it for the foreseeable future as it is my new saving grace for my brows.

Thank you so much for reading this post! I hope you love the Revolution Brow tint as much as I did. If you test it out tag me on Instagram @jadeallesse or use the #beautybasicsblog I love seeing you trying out my looks and recommendations!
